| | Sour Cream Swiss Steak 2 pounds or round steak, 1 inch thick 1/4 cup of flour 1 teaspoon of salt 1/4 teaspoon of pepper 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil 2 onions, sliced 1/2 cup of water 1/4 tablespoon of steak sauce 1/2 cup of sour cream 2 tablespoons of Swiss cheese, grated 1/8 teaspoon of paprika |
| Dredge the steak on both sides with flour seasoned with salt and pepper. Heat the oil in a skillet, brown steak on both sides. Add the remaining ingredients, except the cheese, cover skillet. Simmer for 1 hour or until the meat is fork tender, sprinkle with Swiss cheese on each steak while still hot. Serves 4 | |
