Sweet & Sour Ribs

Sweet & Sour Ribs

1/4 cup of chopped green onions
1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
1/4 teaspoon of dried red pepper flakes
1 cup of barbecue sauce
1/2 cup of peach preserves
2 tablespoons of wine vinegar
2 1/2 - 3 pound of country style ribs
1/2 teaspoon of pepper
1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
one 12 ounce can of beer

Combine the first 3 ingredients in a 2 cup glass measure. Microwave at HIGH, uncovered for 12 minute. Add barbecue sauce, preserves, and vinegar, microwave at HIGH for 2- 3 minutes or until preserves melt. Sprinkle ribs with seasoned salt, pepper and garlic powder, arrange meaty side down, in a 12x8x2" baking dish. Pour beer over ribs. Cover with heavy duty plastic wrap, fold back a small edge of wrap to allow steam to escape. Microwave at HIGH for 30 minutes, rearranging ribs after 15 minutes. Drain well. Grill ribs, meaty side up, over medium coals for 20 minutes, basting frequently with sauce. 3 servings
