Swiss Cheese & Bologna Pie

1 medium onion, chopped
1/2 pound of bologna or salami, chopped
1 tablespoon of shortening
one 9inch unbaked pie shell
6 slices of Swiss cheese, cut into small pieces
3 eggs, beaten
3/34 teaspoon of salt
a dash of pepper
1 1/2 cups of milk
paprika


Sauté the onion & meat in shortening in skillet, stirring occasionally, until onion is lightly browned. Pour half of mixture in pie shell, add cheese, spreading evenly over meat. Add remaining meat mixture. Combine the eggs, salt, pepper and milk, carefully pour pie filling. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake in preheated 375ºF. oven for 35 - 40 minutes or until pie is firm in center and light brown on top. Serve hot or cold. May be made into tarts for an appetizer. 6 servings
