Mustard Topped Steak Baked Potatoes Marinated Squash Salad Kiwi Lime Tarts
Mustard Topped Steak
one 2 pound boneless top round steak, cut 1 1/4 inch thick 3/4 cup of mayonnaise 1/4 cup of seasoned dry breadcrumbs 2 tablespoons of prepared mustard 1/2 teaspoon of onion salt 1/8 teaspoon of paprika Cherry Tomatoes Fresh parsley sprigs, optional
Place steak on rack in a broiler pan. Place pan 5 to 6 inches from heating element. Broil steak 10 minutes on each side or until desired degree of doneness. Combine mayonnaise, breadcrumbs, mustard, onion salt, and paprika in a small mixing bowl, stirring well; spread mustard mixture over top of steak. Broil an additional 3 minutes or until mustard topping is bubbly. To serve, place steak on a serving platter, and cut across the grain into thin slices. Garnish with sherry tomatoes and parsley sprigs, if desired. Yield: 6 to 8 servings

| Kiwi Lime Tarts
one 8 ounce package of cream cheese 1/2 cup of sifted powdered sugar 1/2 teaspoon of grated lime rind 3 tablespoons of lime juice eight 2 3/4 inch tart shells, baked 2 kiwifruit, peeled and sliced 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon of apple jelly, melted, optional
Beat cream cheese until light and fluffy in a medium bowl; add powdered sugar, lime rind, and juice, beating well. Spoon mixture into tart shells. Arrange kiwifruit slices on tarts; spoon 1/2 teaspoon of melted jelly on each tart, if desired. Chill tarts thoroughly. Yield: 8 tarts Note: To soften cream cheese, remove from wrapper and microwave at LOW (10% power) for 1 to 2 minutes. More meal plans |
