| Cherry Cobbler
1/4 pound of butter or margarine 1 cup of sugar 1 cup of flour 1 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder 1/4 teaspoon of salt 3/4 cup of milk 2 cups of un-drained cherries 1/2 cup of sugar |
| Melt butter or margarine in 8 inch square cake pan. Mix all other ingredients, except last 1/2 cup of sugar. Pour over melted butter. Empty 2 cups cherries over batter. Sprinkle 1/2 cup sugar over cherries. Bake at 350ºF. for 30 minutes or until done. Peaches may be substituted for cherries. |
