| | Baked Apples w/Raisins
Clear cooking wrap with foil edges Six (2 1/2 to 3 lbs.) medium Rome Beauty or Greening apples, washed and cored 6 tablespoons of dark brown sugar 6 tablespoons of raisins 6 teaspoons of butter or margarine 3/4 cup of orange juice, apple juice or cider
Preheat oven to 400ºF. Line a 2 1/2 inch deep baking dish with enough cooking wrap to enclose apples, plus 3 inch overlap. Place apples on wrap, fill centers with 1 tablespoon each of brown sugar and raisins and 1 teaspoon of butter. Pour orange juice over all. Double fold plain edges, making 3 inch overlap, double fold foil edges to seal, pierce top of wrap 6 times with meat fork. Bake 25 to 30 minutes, or until apples are fork tender. Serve warm with syrup from pan. Makes 6 servings |
