Dutch Apple Pie

Pastry for single crust, 9 inch pie
4 cups of peeled, sliced tart apples
3/4 cup of sugar
1/2 cup of brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/2 cup of butter
1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg
3/4 cup of flour  




Combine the apples, sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon and nutmeg. Pour in a pastry lined 9 inch pie pan. Blend the flour, brown sugar, cinnamon and butter by mixing with fingers to make coarse crumbs. Place on top of apple mixture in pie pan. Bake in a 425ºF. oven for 45 minutes. Serve with whipped topping. Serves 6 to 8
