| Hamburgers with Apple Rings
1 1/2 pounds of ground beef chuck 1 small onion, chopped 2 tablespoons of minced parsley 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt 1/8 teaspoon of pepper 3 or 4 tart apples, peeled and cored 3 tablespoons of butter or margarine
Mix lightly beef, onion, parsley, salt and pepper. Shape into 8 patties. Broil to desired doneness. Keep warm. Cut eight 3/4 inch apple rings. Sauté rings in butter in skillet. Cover and cook for 3 or 4 minutes. Put one ring on each patty and broil until just brown. Makes 4 servings |
