| Simple Applesauce Cake
1 cup of shortening
2 cups of brown sugar
1 Egg
3 1/2 cups of flour
2 teaspoons of Soda; dissolved in:
1 cup of warm Applesauce
1 teaspoon of vanilla
2 teaspoons of cinnamon
1 teaspoon of Ground cloves |

Mix shortening and sugar until fluffy. Add egg and stir well. Combine flour, cinnamon and cloves. Stir in soda/applesauce mixture, vanilla and then dry ingredients. Bake at 350ºF. for 40-50 minutes. Posted to recipelu-digest Volume 01 Number 453 by EABoz <EABoz@aol.com> on Jan 5, 1998 |
