Bourbon Barbecue Sauce

2 cups of  ketchup
1/2 cup of light molasses
1/3 cup of bourbon
1/4 cup of Dijon mustard
3 tablespoons of hot pepper sauce
2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons of paprika
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
1 teaspoon of onion powder

Combine all ingredients in a heavy, large saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer uncovered, until sauce thickens and flavors blend, stirring frequently, about 15 minutes. This sauce can be made 1 week ahead if kept in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
