| Sweet & Tangy Sauce
3/4 cup of catsup 6 tablespoons of beef broth or water 6 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce 1/4 cup of lemon juice 3 tablespoons of brown sugar, firmly packed 1/4 cup of onion, chopped 1 teaspoon of hot sauce
In a 1 1/2 to 2 quart pan, combine catsup, beef broth or water, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, brown sugar, onion and hot sauce. Simmer until reduced to 1 1/2 cups, about 10 minutes. Add more hot sauce to taste. Serve warm or cool. If making ahead, chill airtight up to 2 weeks. Makes 1 1/2 cups. Barbecuing & Grilling Cookbooks |
