Hot and Spicy Black-Eyed Peas

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

16 ounces of black eyed peas, drained
3 slices of bacon, cooked
1 cup of onion, chopped
16 ounces of tomatoes, (1 can)
1 large pepper, chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped fine
1 teaspoon of cumin
1 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of curry powder
1/2 teaspoon of cayenne
1/2 teaspoon of chili powder



1. Cook bacon slices until crisp.
2. Using large frypan, or electric frypan, combine remaining ingredients and heat to a low boil. Turn back heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
3. Crumble bacon pieces over top of mixture.
4. Serve hot and enjoy!
