1/2 pound of butter 1 cup of sugar 2 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour 1 egg yolk 4 ounces of cream cheese 1/4 cup of nuts, lightly chopped Jam or preserves
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Cream together the butter and sugar. Add the flour and egg yolk and mix well. Add the cream cheese and mix well. Roll into balls about 5/8 inch in diameter. Place them on an ungreased cookie sheet. Then press your thumb into each to flatten it and make an indentation to hold some jam. Fill it with jam. Sprinkle chopped nuts on rim of cookie. Bake at 350ºF. for 15 to 20 minutes.
