Cheese Dumplings
3 tablespoons of shortening 1 1/2 cup of flour 2 teaspoons of baking powder 1/2 teaspoon of salt 1/4 cup of shredded sharp cheddar 3/4 cup of milk |

Cut shortening into flour; baking powder and salt in medium bowl until mixture resembles fine crumbs. Stir in cheese and milk until blended. Drop dough by 10 to 12 spoonfuls onto casserole/stew and cook uncovered for 10 minutes. Cover and cook 10 minutes longer. Yields: 4 Servings |
