Turkey Fritters

2 eggs
2 tablespoons of Crisco, melted
1/2 cup of milk
1 cup of flour, sifted
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of poultry seasoning or sage
1 teaspoon of onion, grated
1 1/2 cup of leftover turkey or chicken
1/3 cup of Crisco for frying

Beat the eggs, add melted Crisco, milk, sifted dry ingredients; beat until smooth. Stir in the onion and turkey or chicken. Heat Crisco in 10-inch frying pan, drop batter from spoon, fry until brown on both sides and cooked through. Serve with cranberry or leftover gravy.
