Cheese Limas
one 9 ounce package of large quick frozen lima beans 1/4 cup of grated processed American cheese 1 tablespoon of butter or margarine 1/2 cup of light cream salt and pepper |

Cook the beans as describes on package. Lower heat. Add cheese, butter or margarine and cream. Mix lightly with fork. Cover. Let steam melt cheese. Season with salt and pepper. Serve at once. Makes 3 - 4 servings
Lima Beans in Potato Rings:
Make thick ring of hot, well seasoned mashed potatoes on warmed serving
dish. Pour lima beans, cooked as describes in above recipe, into ring.
Serve at once. Or make small mashed potato nests. Fill with lima beans.
Place as garnish around turkey, chicken or veal. |
