Baked Limas in Sour Cream

1 pound of dried beans, great northern or small white limas
3 teaspoons of salt
3/4 cup of butter
3/4 cup of brown sugar
1 tablespoon of dry mustard
1 tablespoon of molasses
2 cups of sour cream


Soak the beans overnight and drain. Add fresh water and 1 teaspoon of salt and cook until tender. Drain and rinse. Add the other ingredients with sour cream last. Bake for 30 minutes at 350ºF. Uncover during the last 10 minutes. Serves 8 - 10

Baked Lima Beans in Sour Cream  2

6 cups of cooked lima beans (2 c. dry)
1/4 cup of butter
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1 tablespoon of dry mustard
1 tablespoon of molasses
1 cup of sour cream

Combine all ingredients. Place in 2 quart casserole. Bake at 350ºF. for 45 minutes.
