Chicken Liver Appetizers

12 chicken livers, quartered
12 slices of bacon, halved Basic-Recipes.com 9/12/06
1/2 cup of soy sauce
24 water chestnuts, sliced
1/2 cup of brown sugar

Soak the livers and bacon in soy sauce for 4 hours. Make slits in sides of liver; insert slices of water chestnuts. Dip the liver in brown sugar; wrap with bacon and fasten with picks. Coat in brown sugar. Arrange appetizers on rack in shallow pan. Bake at 400ºF. for 30 minutes or until the bacon is crisp; turn occasionally to brown evenly.
