New England Blueberry Muffins

1 cup of sugar
1/2 cup of softened butter or margarine
2 eggs
1/2 cup of milk
2 cups of all purpose flour
2 teaspoons of baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 to 1 1/2 cups of fresh or frozen blueberries




Combine the sugar, eggs, butter and mix in a bowl, beat well. Blend the flour, baking powder and salt, add and mix until blended. Fold in the blueberries. Spoon into 12 well greased muffin cups, filling almost to the top of the cup. Bake at 375ºF. for 20 to 25 minutes. Makes 12 muffins
