Curried Chicken Liver Pate

1/2 pound of chicken livers
1/4 cup of butter
1/4 cup of chopped onion
1/4 cup of chopped apple
3/4 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon of pepper
3/4 teaspoon of curry
1 egg
2 tablespoons of butter

Halve the chicken livers and sauté in a large skillet in butter along with the onion, apple, salt, pepper and curry; for 5 minutes. Break egg into pan and stir just until egg is set. Turn contents of pan into blender or food processor and whirl until smooth. Blend in 2 tablespoons soft butter. Pour into small serving bowl. Chill overnight.
