One 3 ounce package of cream cheese 1/2 cup (2 oz.) shredded sharp cheese 2 teaspoons of dry sherry 1/4 teaspoon of curry powder 1/8 teaspoon of salt 1/2 cup of chutney Finely chopped green onions with tops
Combine first 5 ingredients. Beat until smooth. Shape mixture into a 1/2 inch thick circle. Chill until firm. Spread chutney over the top and sprinkle with green onions. Serve pate with crackers. Yields: 1 cup.
Chutney Cheese Pate
One 3 ounce package of cream cheese, room temperature 1/2 cup of sharp Cheddar cheese, grated 2 teaspoons of dry sherry 1/2 teaspoon of curry powder Dash of salt 1/4 cup of mango chutney, chopped fine 3 green onions, chopped fine
Beat cream cheese with electric mixer until fluffy. Mix in Cheddar cheese, sherry, curry powder, and salt. Spread mixture on plate about 1/2 inch thick. Chill until firm. When ready to serve, spread with the chutney and sprinkle with the chopped onion. Serve with crackers.
