 French Pastry 3

Bottom Layer:

2 cups of flour
1 cup of butter, softened
6 tablespoons of sugar

Work until blended. Press into 1/8 inch layer of 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake at 350ºF. for about 10 minutes or until light golden.



Top Layer:

Combine: 2 tablespoons of flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1 cup of brown sugar, 1 cup of coconut, 1 cup of walnuts, chopped, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla Mix and spread over bottom layer. Bake at 350ºF. for 20 minutes. Let cool and cut into 3 inch squares. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
