Sauerbraten 9

1 1/2 pounds of beef cubes
1 tablespoon of fat
1 envelope of brown gravy mix
2 cups of water
1 tablespoon of minced onion
2 tablespoons of white wine vinegar
2 tablespoons of brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon of pepper
1/2 teaspoon of ginger
1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
1 bay leaf
Hot buttered noodles

Cut the meat into 1 inch pieces. Brown in hot fat. Remove from skillet. Add gravy and water to skillet and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Stir in the remaining ingredients except the noodles/ Return meat to skillet and simmer for 1 1/2 hours. Stir occasionally. Remove bay leaf. Serve over hot buttered noodles. Serves 6
