| Strawberry Shortcake Biscuits
2 cups of flour
3 tablespoons of sugar
4 teaspoons of baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/2 cup of shortening (I use part butter)
1 egg, beaten
2/3 cup of milk
Mix. Pat out on floured board. Cut 3/4 inch thick or you can leave whole. Bake on ungreased sheet at 450ºF. degrees 10-14 minutes. Watch. Serve with sweetened strawberries and whipped cream. |
