Sourdough Biscuits 10
2 cups of flour 3 teaspoons of baking powder 1 teaspoon of baking soda 1 teaspoon of salt 2 tablespoons of white sugar 3/4 cup of shortening, room temperature 1 3/4 cup to 2 cups of sourdoughSift flour, baking powder, soda, salt, and sugar into mixing bowl. Add shortening and blend with fingertips. Stir in enough sourdough to make a soft dough. Turn out on floured board. let "rest" for 5 minutes to make it easier to handle. Knead very lightly. Roll about 3/4 inch thick and cut into biscuits. Bake on a greased baking sheet about 10 minutes or until golden brown. Back to Sourdough Recipes |
