| | Corn Soufflé
1/4 cup of milk 1/2 cup of grated sharp cheese 1/2 cup of mayonnaise 1/4 cup of flour 1/4 teaspoon of onion salt a dash of pepper one 12 ounce can of whole kernel corn, drained 2 tablespoons of snipped parsley 4 egg whites
Heat oven to 325ºF. Oil a 1 quart casserole dish. In a small saucepan, heat milk with cheese to melt cheese. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, flour, onion salt, pepper, slowly stir into milk mixture, blend well. Add corn, parsley. In a large bowl beat egg whites until blended. Pour into casserole and bake. Bake uncovered about 50 minutes or until silver knife inserted comes out clean. Serves 4 to 5 |
