Cold Stuffed Mushrooms

 

Cold Stuffed Mushrooms

16 large mushrooms
3 ounces of cream cheese
2 ounces of blue cheese
2 chopped green onions
1/2 stalk chopped celery

Instructions:

Soften the cream cheese and mix well with the other ingredients. Remove the stems from the mushrooms and save them for another use. (you might want to add them to a soup) Fill the mushroom caps with the cheese mixture. If you have a pastry bag, you can pipe the mixture through it for a really attractive and professional look to this simple dish. Garnish the stuffed mushrooms with some chopped green onion or maybe some parsley.Basic-Recipes.com

You could add chopped nuts to the mixture or use a whole nut on top of each mushroom. Vary the amount of blue cheese to your taste or add a little mayonnaise or sour cream. You'll soon discover a combination that turns your taste buds on. And here's another idea: use the same blue cheese mixture to stuff celery stalks.
