Creamy Italian Dressing
3/4 cup of mayonnaise or salad dressing 1/4 cup of dairy sour cream 2 teaspoons of white wine vinegar or white vinegar 1/4 teaspoon of dry mustard 1/4 teaspoon of dried basil, crushed 1/4 teaspoon of dried oregano, crushed 1/8 teaspoon of salt 1/8 teaspoon of garlic powder 1 to 2 tablespoons of milk, optional
In a mixing bowl stir together mayonnaise or salad dressing, sour cream, vinegar, mustard, basil, oregano, salt, and garlic powder. Cover and store in the refrigerator up to 2 weeks. If necessary, stir in milk to make of desired consistency. Makes 1 cup
Creamy Garlic Dressing: Prepare as above except omit oregano and garlic powder. Add 2 cloves of garlic, minced.
Creamy Parmesan Dressing: Prepare as above, except omit the dry mustard, dried oregano, and salt. Stir in 3 n tablespoons of grated Parmesan cheese, and if desired 1/2 teaspoon of cracked black pepper.
