Frances Orange Salad
1 cup of water 12 whole cloves 1/2 cup of raisins 1 pkg. of orange Jell-O 3/4 cup of orange juice one 8 3/4 ounce can of crushed pineapple, drained 1 teaspoon of grated lemon rind Mandarin oranges, optional Chopped nuts, optional
Bring water and cloves to a boil. Remove cloves and add raisins. Let stand briefly until raisins soften. Add Jell-O and dissolve. The add orange juice, pineapple and lemon rind. Pour into mold and chill until set. Note: 1 stick of cinnamon added to the water gives a nice flavor. Remove after water boils. |
