Salad Recipes

 

Hawaiian Haystack

1 can of cream of chicken soup
3 cups of cooked chicken, cubed
one 5 ounce can of chow mein noodles
1 cup of chopped celery
1/2 cup of chopped onion
1 1/2 cup of grated Cheddar cheese
1/2 to 3/4 cup of almonds, sliced
one 20 ounce can of pineapple chunks
2 cups of cooked rice
1 cup of chopped tomatoes
1 cup of chopped green pepper
1 pkg. of coconut



Make sauce: Drain juice from pineapple chunks and  mix juice with cream of chicken soup. Heat  until bubbly. This is a stacked salad. If serving buffet style, place  each ingredients in individual bowls. Stack ingredients on a plate in the following order: Chow mein noodles, rice, chicken, cheese, celery, pineapple, tomatoes, pepper, onion, sauce, coconut and almonds.
