Cold Bean Salad

1 can (1 pound) of whole green beans, drained
1 can (1 pound) of red kidney beans, drained
1 can (1 pound) of garbanzos or chick peas, drained
1/3 cup of chopped pimiento
1/2 cup of chopped onion
1 red onion, sliced into rings
1 cup of wine vinegar
1/2 cup of salad oil
1/2 cup of sugar
2 teaspoons of salt
1/2 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper

In a large bowl, combine the green beans, kidney beans, garbanzos, pimiento and onions. Combine the remaining ingredients in a small bowl. Stir well and pour over bean mixture, tossing gently. Cover; refrigerate to chill and blend flavors. Transfer to tightly covered container to take on a picnic. Makes 10 servings
