| THANKSGIVING FEAST PUMPKIN BREAD
2 2/3 cup of sugar 2/3 cup of margarine (or butter), softened 4 eggs, beaten 1 pound of can pumpkin 2/3 cup of water 3 1/2 cups of flour 2 teaspoons of baking powder 1 1/2 teaspoon of salt 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg 2/3 cup of chopped walnuts (optional) 2/3 cup of chopped dates |

Cream sugar and margarine until fluffy. Stir in eggs, pumpkin and water. Sift together dry ingredients. Gradually stir into pumpkin mixture. Add nuts and dates. Blend well. Pour into 2 greased loaf pans. Bake at 350ºF. for 1 1/2 hours - check sooner if springs back - it's done. |
