Thanksgiving Apple Pie

1 1/4 cup of  brown sugar
3 tablespoons of  flour
1/2 teaspoon of  salt
1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1 tablespoon of vinegar
2/3 cup of  apple juice or water
2 tablespoons of butter
2 cups of cooked apples
1/2 cup of nuts



Mix sugar, flour, salt and spices in pan. Add apple juice, vinegar, butter. Cook until thick. Pour over apples, mix and put in crust. Sprinkle nuts over top of apples, put on top crust. Cut top crust in circle which lacks about one inch coming to edge of pan. Bake until crust is brown.

Oven temp was not listed, I would try it between 375ºF. -  425ºF.  for 10 minutes, reduce temperature to 350ºF. continue baking crust is  brown. Cool completely on wire rack.

THANKSGIVING APPLE PIE

Preheat oven to 375ºF. Peel and core 6 big apples. Cut into a bowl and add 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, 1 1/2 tablespoons flour, and 1 cup of brown sugar. Fill frozen pie shell (Pet Ritz) with the mixture and cover with another pie shell. Puncture. Bake for 1 hour. The best!
