Artichoke Hearts with Lemon Butter


 

 Artichoke Hearts with Lemon Butter

one 9 ounce package of quick frozen artichoke hearts
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 cup of water
3 tablespoons of butter or margarine
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
quick grind of black pepper

Place quick frozen artichoke hearts in saucepan. Add salt and water or mixture of water and vinegar or white wine. Cover and bring quickly to a boil over high heat. Reduce the heat. Boil gently for 12 minutes or until just tender. drain if excess liquid remains. Dress with melted butter or margarine and lemon juice. Add quick grind of black pepper. Makes 4 servings
