| | Artichokes with Beef
2 tablespoons of oil 2 cloves garlic, crushed 1 1/2 pounds of fillet of beef 1 cup of beef broth 8 canned artichoke hearts 1/2 cup of pine nuts 1/4 teaspoon of salt Freshly ground black pepper 1/4 teaspoon of cumin
Heat the oil in a casserole. Add the garlic and the beef and sauté over high heat until the beef is well browned on all sides. Add all the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Lower the heat, cover the pan and simmer 10 to 15 minutes or until the beef reaches or until the beef reaches the desired degree of doneness. Slice the beef and arrange on a serving plate. Garnish with the artichoke hearts and pour on the sauce. Serve immediately. 4 serving
