2 tablespoons of butter or margarine one 1 pound jar (2 cups) of sliced or whole pickled beets, drained 1 cup of onion slices, separated in rings 2 teaspoons of sugar 1/2 teaspoon of salt a dash of pepper
Melt butter or margarine in skillet. Add beets and onion rings. Sprinkle with sugar, salt and pepper. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, till hot and onions are tender, about 15 minutes. Makes 4 servings
