| | Sweet and Sour Beets
1/2 pound of beets, cleaned and boiled 2 cups of vinegar 1 cup of sugar 3/4 teaspoon of salt
Cut beets into 1/4 inch thick slices; set aside.
Combine vinegar, sugar and salt in a saucepan; bring to a boil. Add beets and cover. Reduce heat; simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat; cover and chill. Yield 2 servings |
