Brown Sugar Brussels Sprouts

2 pounds of Brussels sprouts
3 cups of water
2 teaspoons of brown sugar
1 cup of tomato puree
salt and pepper
2 tablespoons of minced parsley



Cook the Brussels sprouts in boiling water. while they cook, combine other ingredients except parsley and bring to a boil. Drain sprouts, pour over the hot tomato sauce and sprinkle with minced parsley.
