Sautéed Red Cabbage

1 teaspoon vegetable oil
6 cups shredded red cabbage
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds
1/4 teaspoon salt

 

In large skillet, heat oil; add cabbage and garlic. Cook over medium-high heat, tossing constantly, 3 minutes, until cabbage is slightly wilted. Add vinegar, caraway seeds, salt and 1/4 cup water to cabbage mixture. Reduce heat to low; cook, covered, 10 minutes, until cabbage is tender and flavors are blended.
