2 pounds of ground beef salt and pepper 1/2 cup of instant rice 1 medium onion, chopped 1 clove garlic, chopped 12 large cabbage leaves 1 medium can sauerkraut 1 can of tomato paste
Combine the meat, salt, pepper, rice, onion and garlic, shape into 12 large balls. Roll in cabbage leaves. Alternate layers of cabbage rolls and sauerkraut in saucepan. Add tomato paste and enough water to cover rolls. Cook slowly for 1 hour. To make cabbage leaves easier to use, let stand in very hot water for about 3 minutes or until wilted. 12 servings
