Southern Fried Corn

1/4 cup of bacon drippings
10 ears of fresh corn, cleaned and kernels curt from cob
1/4 cup of milk
1 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of pepper



Heat bacon drippings in  large skillet over medium heat. Add corn kernels and cook 5 minutes. Stir in 1/4 cup of milk, salt and pepper. Cook, uncovered, over medium heat 30 minutes, stirring frequently. Yield 4 to 6 servings.

* I made this today, the recipe reminded me of the fried corn my great aunt made when i was little in Rome, Ga. I used canned corn and added a bit of sugar. The kids and the hubby loved it, thanks!!!
