Fried Green Tomatoes

4 medium size green tomatoes
1 teaspoon of salt
1/2 cup of flour
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
 

Wash and slice the green tomatoes in 1/2 inch thick slices. Sprinkle with salt. roll each slice in flour until coated on each side. Place oil in a skillet and heat. Place floured tomato slices in skillet. Fry over low heat until browned on both sides. Serve hot. Serves 4
