2 slices of bacon, diced 1 small onion, chopped two 10 ounce packages of frozen string beans 1/4 cup of water 1/2 teaspoon of salt 1/4 teaspoon of dried oregano a dash of black pepper grated Parmesan cheese
Fry the bacon in a large skillet. Add the onion and cook for 1 minute. drain off excess fat. Add the string beans, water, salt, oregano and pepper; mix well. Cover. Cook over medium heat 5 - 8 minutes or until the string beans are tender. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese before serving. 6 servings |
