| | Mushroom Wild Rice
1/2 cup of packaged wild rice one 6 ounce can of broiled sliced mushrooms 1/2 teaspoon of salt one 4 5/8 ounce package (1 1/3 cup) of precooked rice 2 tablespoons of butter
Prepare wild rice according to package directions (allow over an hour.) Drain mushrooms, reserving liquid. Add enough water to mushroom liquid to measure 1 1/3 cups: add a salt, use as the liquid for cooking the prepared rice - heat according to package directions. Combine drained wild rice and hot precooked rice, mushrooms, and butter. Cover, heat briefly over low heat. Serves 4 - 6 |
