Onions Madeira

Onions Madeira

1 can of whole boiled white onions
1 1/2 cup of thin white sauce to which is added:
2 tablespoons of chopped parsley
1/2 teaspoon of monosodium glutamate
freshly grated nutmeg to taste
salt and pepper
2 tablespoons of Madeira or sherry wine
bread crumbs, Grated Parmesan cheese, butter

Combine onions and sauce in casserole. Top with  bread crumbs and grated Parmesan cheese. Dot with butter. Bake at 350ºF. for 20 minutes. Serves 3 - 4
