Broiled Tomatoes #4
2 large ripe tomatoes 3/4 cup of soft bread crumbs 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese 2 tablespoons of butter or margarine, melted 1/4 teaspoon of dried basil, crushed
Preheat broiler. Halve each tomato crosswise. Place, cut side up, in a shallow baking pan. Combine the bread crumbs. Parmesan butter and basil, sprinkle over tomatoes. Broil 3 to 4 inches from the heat about 4 minutes or until lightly browned. Makes 4 servings |
