Glazed Winter Squash

2 Acorn or butternut squash;
2 tablespoons of brown sugar
2 tablespoons of maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon of ground ginger

1/4 teaspoon of salt
2 tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley

Source: Family Circle "All-Time Favorite Recipes" Place squash, cut side down, in a shallow microwave-safe dish. Add 2 tablespoons water. Cover tightly with plastic wrap. Microwave on 100% power 8 to 10 minutes or until tender. Let stand 5 minutes.  Heat oven to 375ºF.  Carefully remove plastic wrap. Cut squash halves in half lengthwise. Place, skin side down, in a baking pan. Mix brown sugar, maple syrup, cinnamon, ginger and salt in a small bowl. Spoon over squash. Bake in heated 375ºF. oven 10 minutes or until squash is glazed. Sprinkle with parsley. Serve immediately.
