1 (4/5 quart) bottle of bourbon
3 quarts of half and half
1/4 cup of vanilla extract
Simple syrup, recipe follows
Ground nutmeg
Combine the bourbon, half and half, and vanilla in a 1-gallon container; add simple syrup to desired sweetness. chill thoroughly. Sprinkle with nutmeg before serving. Yields 1 gallon
Simple Syrup
1 cup of water
1 cup of sugar
Combine sugar and water in a small saucepan boil 5 minutes. Cool completely before using. Yield 1 1/4 cups. |
