| CHRISTMAS ROCK
1 scant cup of butter
1 1/2 cup of sugar
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1 teaspoon of cloves
3 eggs
1 scant teaspoon of soda, dissolved in about 2 tablespoons of hot water
1 pound of nuts, broken in pieces (English walnuts)
1 pound of raisins
1 pound of dates, chopped
1/2 cup of green cherries
1/2 cup of red cherries
3 cups of flour |

Mix all ingredients together. Drop with teaspoon on buttered pan. Bake at 350ºF. about 15 minutes or until slightly browned. If you double recipe, use only 5 eggs. |
