Brazil Nut Fruitcake 2

3 cups of Brazil nuts
1 pound of pitted dates, whole
1 cup of Maraschino cherries, drained
3/4 cup of sugar
3/4 cup of plain flour, sifted
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of salt
3 eggs
1 teaspoon of vanilla

Put whole nuts, dates and cherries into a large mixing bowl. Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt over nuts and fruit. Mix until fruits and nuts are well coated. Beat eggs well. Add vanilla. Stir into nut/fruit mixture. Put in pan lined with wax paper. Bake at 300ºF. for 1 hour and 45 minutes. Refrigerate before slicing.
